Created in 1993, the natural reserve of Chalmessin constitutes a natural treasure in the midst of the woods and pastures. Its 24 hectares, managed by the Academy of inheritance the natural Champagne-Ardenne, shelter one of the tuff marshes most remarkable of the plateau of Langres. Since the last glaciation, 8 000 years ago, very particular conditions allowed this narrow small valley to preserve a typically mountain fauna and a flora.
